The Astor Bannerman Motion Bath compliments our range of new Parker Style Baths. With generous internal dimensions the Motion Bath provides comfort and security as with other Parker Style Baths in or range.
The bath is pre-filled, with all the water that would be required, prior to the user getting into the bath.
This means that the user does not have to wait for the bath to fill once they have been transferred into the bath.
As shown in the image on the right, if the user can weight bare or partially weight bare then they can transfer into the bath independently without the use of a mobile hoist.
Transfer aids can be used in assisting users in and out of the bath depending upon your risk assessment.
If the user cannot weight bare and is unable to manage a transfer aid then a mobile hoist or overhead hoist can be used to transfer the user directly into the seated position.
With the user in the bath it is then gently reclined back to a horizontal position that provides a comfortable, safe bathing position. Adjustable height of the bath tub provides a safe working height for all carers.
The Motion bath is available in different specification models from a standard domestic specification to a Care Home standard model with WRAS approved shower gantry and TMV 3 thermostatic protection for bath fill and shower.
